About this course

Circle C is the course Austin players name when they want a real test without leaving the city. The park is Woodsy with rolling terrain and water in play, and the dual tees on most holes mean the same hole can be a friendly pitch from the short pads or a demanding 700-foot battle from the long ones.

John Houck's 1993 design asks for tremendous shot variety — there's no one shot shape that gets you around. From the long tees the blue layout stretches nearly 8,000 feet at par 64, which is why locals treat it as the graduation exam after Zilker and Bartholomew.

It's free to play, signed on every hole, and the only real fee is the discs you might lose in the woods. Go early on summer weekends, before the Hill Country heat makes the hills feel taller.

§ The signature hole
Hole 18Par 5 · 888 ft

Hole 18 stretches 888 feet through the woods to close the round — the longest hole at Circle C. The dual-tee setup lets you choose your adventure, but from the long pad it's a three-shot par 5 where every landing zone is framed by trees. It's the hole that sums up the course: distance, trees, and a little Hill Country character.
