About this course
MetCenter is Austin's long, flat, OB-drenched test on the city's east side. The PDGA description says it best: lots of OB, with most holes playing along a small creek. There's nowhere to hide — the open fairways make every mistake visible and every hero shot tempting.
The 2020 redesign kept the course's identity while sharpening the routing. At nearly 9,800 feet from the long tees and par 67, it's a marathon, and the city of Austin lists a two-and-a-half-hour round as the baseline. Bring water, bring patience, and bring a game plan.
Free to play with concrete tees and DISCatcher baskets, MetCenter is where Austin players go to test their OB discipline before tournament season.
Hole 7 is the longest on the card at 732 feet, and it's where MetCenter's identity comes into focus. The 2020 redesign kept the flat, open character but sharpened the OB that frames every line — go for it, and the creek will collect the mistake. It's the hole that makes you respect the course's simple creed: lots of OB, most holes along the creek, par 67.
